Well, hello there!
I’m the Barbed Belle. A woman over 50, living in small-town Texas, juggling a grandbaby, an online business that occasionally makes actual money, and enough creative interests to keep me thoroughly distracted for the rest of my natural life.
Some days I’m chasing dreams. Other days I’m chasing a pacifier across the floor while wondering how I managed to work ten hours and earn approximately $2.47.
I love nature, wildlife, creativity, a good cup of coffee, and discovering things I didn’t know I needed to know. I also have opinions. Lots of them. Some are thoughtful, some are questionable, and occasionally one escapes before I’ve had the good sense to keep my mouth shut.

Stories about grandparenting, getting older without necessarily getting wiser, making a living on the internet, creative adventures, country living, everyday absurdities, and those quiet moments when nature reminds me there’s more to life than staring at a computer screen.
You’ll also find me tending my indoor gardens, experimenting with herbs, and exploring my own slightly unconventional spirituality. Moon phases, animal symbolism, strange coincidences, dreams, and whatever else catches my curiosity. I don’t claim to have all the answers. I just enjoy discovering things, figuring out what they mean to me, and occasionally dragging you along for the adventure.
Sometimes I’ll make you laugh. Sometimes I’ll get sentimental. Sometimes I’ll probably go off on a tangent that has absolutely nothing to do with where I started.
